About Me

i'm a native new yorker of haitian descent who thought i'd grow up to be a women's magazine editor -- forever single, of course, but with stylish clothes, a house in the Hamptons and feared/loved by many. instead, i fell in love two years ago with a never-married father of one -- a "Baby Daddy," in hoodrat parlance. now i'm engaged, a soon-to-be stepmama, and will hopefully give birth myself a few times over. things change. but these remain: i have bad handwriting; i'm a photographer and filmmaker trapped in a scribe's body; i have months of magazines piled up that i can't bear to throw away; i like the word "preggers." and so far, this i do know-- "first comes baby" is all new territory.
