| Introduction | I am an avid traveler, hiker and sailor. Our planet is amazing, an inexhaustible treasure trove which I shall never tire of exploring.I consider myself fortunate to have had the time and means to have seen a little of its natural beauty. Amongst my favourite treks are the Inca trail to Macchu Picchu and the Routeburn Track in New Zealand. Closer to home, I have hiked the West Coast Trail and Nootka Island Trail off Vancouver Island. In August 2008, I sailed aboard "Ladybug" with my husband Chris to Mexico and we have spent many months exploring the Sea of Cortez. I was awed by the diversity of life-forms in the desert as well as the sea.I hope and pray that what has not already been lost will survive for the future generations. |
