About Me
The works of the old masters strongly influence my artistic style. Their paintings evoke a sense of quietude and clam that continues to engage viewers today. My oil and pastel paintings incorporate many of the master's techniques, allowing my work to achieve a deep glow of light along with rich, mysterious shadows. My love of all things that nurture and quiet the soul inspires me to paint traditional images that will stand the test of time. Winding street secnes, oppulent still lifes and intimate landscapes are what collectors of my work enjoy most. My landscapes are composites of the myriad places I have visited in my travels throughout the world. Unlike the old masters, we now live in a hectic and fast-paced world that demands our attention and time. I create works that encourage the viewer to become quiet and intropective, to linger, contemplate, and rest.
