| Introduction | Photojournalist Video Production Video Editor, Avid and Final Cut Pro I’m Rodan Thompson and I've worked in broadcast TV news as a photojournalist, video editor, and live truck operator. My most recent employment in broadcasting was with the Scripps station KNXV, ABC15 in Phoenix, Arizona where I spent the last ten and a half years working in these various capacities. I got my start in the U.S. Navy shooting and editing video for their world-wide TV news magazine back in the early 90’s. There I also served as the a Photojournalist, Video Editor at the Navy Broadcasting Servis Command for several years. I was active duty for almost 9 years. I’ve since worked in eight commercial TV newsrooms. I've spent years working out of a live truck shooting and editing a 5 and 6 package and doing a live shot. I'm used to being under the gun all day long. This site, which I designed, represents my online resume and you have the ability to view my employment history, my stories, live shots and show closer pieces that I’ve shot and edited over the years. I'm currently living in the Phoenix, Arizona area and I'm interested in working in the world of Television Production. |
