| Introduction | Kids Reading Across Rhode Island is a partnership between the RI Office of Library & Information Services and the RI Center for the Book at Providence Public Library. Kids RARI expands the age and scope of Reading Across RI, in its 10th year! Children's librarians from around the state are participating and supporting this endeavor, including helping to select the 2011 book (the 2nd), Grace Lin's Where the Mountain Meets the Moon. It is the perfect book to complement the 2011 Summer Reading Theme, "One World, Many Stories." The program will run from June - August, 2011 in public libraries across RI.The kickoff will be held on May 14, 2011 from 12:00 - 3:00 at Rhode Island's State House. Join in at the kickoff, or participate in a book discussion or program at your local public library! |
