| Introduction | Deb Connors is the Market Master for the City Market and has been in this position since 2003. Deb is responsible for managing the Saturday and Sunday Farmers’ Market recruiting and verifying vendors in all farmer market categories, conducting periodic checks of all vendors’ farms and workshops, overseeing the SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks program, making sure all vendors meet city and state requirements and overseeing the Vintage Sale. Deb is also a board member for the Missouri Farmers’ Market Association, a member of AgriMissouri, National Association of Produce Market Managers, Farmers Market Coalition and a Certified Produce Market Manager. She currently serves on the Mayor appointed Food Protection Advisory Board. She frequently attends and speaks at conferences throughout the state sharing her passion for farmers markets. Deb has been the recipient of the 2005 Champion of the Year Award /AgriMissouri Department of Agriculture and received the 2012 Downtown Council of Kansas City’s Urban Hero award for her commitment to Kansas City. |
