| Introduction | Ciao e benvenuto to my new blog, a fresh outlook on cooking, food, and drink! For a slice of my life pertaining to this topic, I am of Italian ancestry and was born in the “Tomato Capital of Canada” – also known as the “Greenhouse Capital of North America” – where tomatoes are Leamington’s most popular greenhouse crop, and are one of the main cooking ingredients in an Italian home. Wine is also prelevant to the culture I have been brought up in, and neighbouring my hometown is Canada’s southernmost winery, Pelee Island Winery. With that being said, it is no surprise that in my spare time I like to sift through recipes, experiment with cooking, and frequent restaurants! In terms of personal expertise, I have a bakground working in both Fresh Market and Banquet Hall atmospheres, as well as continued service in an Italian Catering Company and Specialty Food Store. |
