About me

Occupation Retired RN
Location Rochester, NY, United States
Introduction I retired after more than 25 years in health care; 9 years as an Emergency Nurse, 14 years as a Surgical Nurse in vascular, orthopedic, pediatric and renal units. One of the great things about nursing is the variety of jobs. I loved it. Now, I'm home with my Siberian Huskies and sewing, except when I'm working at my new "job" teaching computer design software for machine embroidery at "The Bobbin Case, Inc". It's hard to believe I get paid for all this fun. Of course, most of my salary goes into more thread, machines and software.
Interests Machine embroidery, Sewing, Quilting, Siberian Huskies, Travel in our RV, Editing the Seneca Siberian Husky Club newsletter, "the Lead & Line"
Favorite Movies Doubt, Gone With the Wind, Song of the South
Favorite Music I like almost all kinds of music, but mostly Classical; I'm not too fond of opera, but particularly love Renaissance lute music and Baroque pipe organs.
Favorite Books I'll read just about anything except bodice-ripping girly novels. Yuck! Love Patricia Cornwall's Scarpetta novels, cop mysteries, biographies and history, especially from the UK of the Reformation era.

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

Nope! It's all in the attitude and I've got plenty of attitude.
