About Me

In each eye there is an apple/ Buried there before the eye/ And out of sockets come the branches/ And from the branches dangle I ❦ Will Oldham, “God’s Small Song”

Radio wire is often used to make bird nests. What station do they listen to?

By "they," do we mean the birds or the wires? There really is a difference, you know. And what kind of bird? A mockingbird would prefer noise bands, while a woodpecker might like the sound of a beetle deep in a pine trunk, and a cockatiel desires only the sound of another cockatiel. As for the wires, I imagine they have very sensitive ears and want us to turn off the radio forever.
