| Introduction | Well, this is a Catholic blog so I guess I should say right away that I am practicing Latin Rite Catholic. I live with my best friend AGA and am very much enjoying life here in Germany. I am trying to learn how to blog as I go so I guess I shall make mistakes along the way. What do I like? Baking and eating cakes, riding my new bike, King Henry III, Daffodils, Red Squirrels, Melbourne, trying to play the Harpsichord, going to Holy Mass, cups of tea, home made raspberry jam, Westhighland terriers, dabbling in archaeology, plump wing back armchairs, Queen Ann houses, reading Country Life, the Lake District and a myriad of other things! |

| Favorite Books | My new 1962 Missal, the Books of Ruth and Tobit, St Luke's Gospel. As a collector of books I have many many many others! however I can say that I like the works of C S Lewis, Philip Caraman SJ, Wodehouse, poetry by Chesterton, Manley Hopkins and Dame Edith Evans, Prescott's 'Mary Tudor', Antonia Fraser's book on the Gunpowder Plot, Wind in the Willows, Sir Maurice Powicke's 'The Thirteenth Century', Duff's biography of King George V (and Nicholson's version), Haydn's Dictionary of Dates and Dictionary of Biography, The Home Lovers' Encyclopaedia (c.1930), The History of the Countryside by Oliver Rackham, English Monastic Life by Cardinal Gasquet . . . I could go on and on and on . . . |
Well, maybe they don't need them, but don't you think that some fish might like a bicycle?
