Introduction	Teso North District is Situated in Kenya's Western Province and lies along its border with Uganda in Busia County. The District was established in 1995 having been carved from the former greater Busia District. It has a population of 117,942 according to 2009 National Population and Housing Census. The District is divided into two administrative divisions namely; Amagoro and Angurai - which are further divided into a total of 17 Locations further comprising of 42 sub-locations. in addition to the above administrative structures, the district is divided into wards, administered by two local authorities - namely Teso County Council and Malaba Town Council
