|Introduction||As of September, 2009, I'm an 'octogenarian' and retired school teacher who began running at age 50 by jogging between Bronte and Bondi before swimming at Clovelly every morning.. Entered 10km fun runs and in 1984 the first of 17 (or more by now) City-to-Surf runs. I ran my first of many half marathons at age 60 and my first (of now 11 marathons) at 70 in the 2000 Sydney Host City Marathon. I was lucky enough to be able to run the New York City Marathon in 2003 where I carried the Australian Flag during the Friendship Run from UN to Tavern-on-the-Green, Central Park. At Canberra marathon 2001, I established an age category W70-74 Canberra Marathon record and in 2004 an age category W70-74 Australian Ultra Marathon record for 50km ... the same 2 records again in 2006 for the next age category, W75-79. All race times in 2009 have been quite a bit faster than 2008. So far this year, 2010,I have concentrated on a 3 days' running program & have successfully improved my 10km & half marathon and marathon times. During 2010 I managed Australian Records for W80 in both the Marathon (Sydney, 5:26:24) and Half Marathon (Sydney, 2:14:28)|

Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?
It would be nice if it was made of bronze and commemorated running the New York City Marathon in 2006!
