About Me

I've over a dozen years of fundraising and other support experience in broadcast media, and my roots are in theater (I'm a CalArts theater alumnus). I've undertaken martial arts involvement; currently studying Shudokan Karate-do. I've studied T'ai Chi too. I once worked for CNN's Los Angeles Bureau (throughout the 1st Gulf War, Rodney King Trial, Los Angeles Riots, Simpson Investigations, Northridge Earthquake, floods, fires, etc.), and I've executed direct mail campaigns as Membership Manager for a public radio station. At the station it was training and working with my volunteers that I enjoyed most (I miss them). I have a strong interest in health and (martial)fitness and a natural ability as an advocate; and I'm pursuing my interests in community and cultural centers as incubators for individual and family health, and vital community networking. However, I love doing katas and bunkais by day, and a little blogging (here) by night.
