About Me

I've lived in Darby Borough, Pennsylvania since the day I was born. Darby is a Hometown that anyone could wish for. Settled by Quakers before our Nation, its rich history, close families, friends and neighbors have formed and shaped many lives. Only 8 tenths of a square mile, it is more densely populated than the City of Brotherly Love, its next door neighbor. At the age of 18, I first "officially" jumped into the world of Darby politics. However, I have worked in 74 elections since I was the ripe old age of 10! At the age of 26, with 4 small children, I was elected as the youngest council member ever in Darby. I ran as a Democrat in an all Republican town and actually won! I stayed on the Council for 10 years and then ran for Mayor in 1997. I was then elected the first female Mayor and the youngest again... Now at the age of 48, I am throwing my hat in the ring once more, and running for Mayor of Darby in the 2009 General Election in November....
