About Me

I grew up in Gurnee in the 1980's, and have spent most of my 30 years in and around Lake County. After graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in English, I worked for several years at the university's medical library before re-locating to Gurnee. I love most anything to do with the outdoors, particularly hiking, bicycling, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. An amateur cartoonist and local sports enthusiast, I and my girlfriend Jody can often be found hiking or biking at various points on the Lake County Forest Preserves' trail system.
