| Introduction | I don't know Wendy MacLean, but her name and something she wrote showed up in a daily email I receive. It spoke of "foreplay of spirit and intention", how the world never sees how miracles are set up. She was speaking of the boy with his five barley loaves and two fish, positing that his mother made the lunch for him and told him to give to others in need. The idea of the foreplay of spirit and intention has struck me so profoundly. I don't write for anyone else. I can't. What I write is for me, for my release, my expression. My words may never touch someone as profoundly as other's words have touched me, but I know that the foreplay of spirit and intention is there, is possible, and I want to play along. |
