| Introduction | I created this blog originally to present my analysis of the Hasawiya massacre in Syria - one of the most brutal incidents in the Syrian conflict, and an example of how the Asad regime's disinformation machine operates. I followed the unfolding of the Libyan revolution closely, and am now attempting to do the same for Syria. I am a retired political scientist, with experience of conflict situations and democratic transitions. I am a long standing "person of the left" and am not going anywhere else in this lifetime. I'm hoping to develop this blog to provide a useful resource for both understanding the Syrian revolution and promoting international solidarity with it. |
