What is addiction? It is not just a wish or a want, but a must have. An addiction will drive you to do anything to get what you are addicted to. Addiction causes your life to be unmanageable and out of control, because you are a slave to the addiction. Addiction is not something to be ashamed of, and it is definitely something you can be healed of by the power of God through Jesus Christ.
