I’m a 40-something business analyst in the Southwest who came of age during the Reagan era. I didn't understand the link between conservate politics and right-wing religion at the time. As I've grown older I’ve grown more moderate and have developed a serious distaste for the co-mingling of politics and religion which, I believe, is completely misunderstood and understated by today’s popular media.
