Rachael is a freelance reporter and Ph.D. student in English and American Literature at New York University. She graduated from Columbia University in May 2006 with a B.A. in comparative literature. She has worked as a reporter at the New Haven Register in New Haven, Conn.; The Bulletin in Bend, Ore., and the Anniston Star in Anniston, Ala.
