| Introduction | Nicholas Gordon was born in the early 1960s and grew up on a Cheshire dairy farm. In his early childhood he experienced first hand the drama of the foot and mouth disease epidemic that laid siege to the county. As he got older he witnessed probably the greatest decline in British agriculture since the depression of the 1930s. It was in these early years that his interest in field sports began. |
