| Introduction | I'm an 8th grade science teacher in a small rural community in NW PA. I'm fortunate enough to work with a cooperative administration that supports new ideas and helps to identify and fix problems. I'm supported in my experiments with these new ideas. After finishing my 5th year, I've decided that what I'm doing is what I like to do, despite having the roughest year yet. I'll come back stronger and better than ever next year. I'll not let this year stop me from keeping on with what I do. Overall, I'm happy, even though I'm seeing some negatives in the upper echelon of my administration. My immediate supervisor is still very helpful, useful and ready to do whatever he can to help me do my job. The rest will hopefully allow this continue. Other than teaching, I'm involved in many things from sports, which depend upon the seasons, to cars (I'm working to finish an old Barracuda), to guitars ( I teach guitar during the exploratory part of the middle school schedule). I keep pretty darn busy! I'm not a huge fan of TV sitting and prefer to be busy to having nothing to do...guess it's a good thing I'm working on so many grad classes! |

| Favorite Books | I'm still a Michener fan. I like the faction and detail. Ya, it takes a little while to read some of the books, but getting lost in the imagery is worth it! |
