Introduction | I grew up in the Blue Ridge foothills, living on and around farms. There were always gardens and farm animals. Then I became a teenager. As teens are often afflicted, I thought I knew everything and had gleaned everything I could in my rural world. I went out there to get educated and earn my fortune. What I learned was that most things of value were back where I started. I'm no expert, but I have lots of skills and work on learning new ones. One day I hope to be successful farmer and jack of all trades. For now, I tend my small plot in the world that continues to undergo its conversion to vegetable and herbal gardening, work in the suburbs of a Atlanta, and dream of the day that I will be able to return to my roots and own a farm. |
