Introduction I'm a 30-something trucker's wife (aka "asphalt widow") and stay-at-home mom to 7-year-old identical twin girls. I've been married to my trucker for 12 years. He acquired his CDL in May 2007 and has been OTR ever since. Although I'm a SAHM, I take on odd jobs when possible to help balance hubby's fluctuating paychecks. I'm contemplating going back to school in the near future, although I'm still not entirely sure what I want to be when I grow up. The kids, bills, household chores and repairs, etc. keep me pretty busy throughout the week, but those whirlwind weekends are even crazier with trying to cram everything in roughly 34 hours’ time with DH. Life can be pretty overwhelming at times, but I don’t let it get the best of me. And I’m pretty convinced that a Higher Power must have one hell of a sense of humor.
Interests Paranormal, reading, traveling, geocaching, flower and aquatic gardening, good food and great wine, hiking, camping and the great outdoors.
Favorite Movies Thelma and Louise, Steel Magnolias, Terms of Endearment, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Coal Miner's Daughter, Some Kind of Wonderful, Better Off Dead
Favorite Music I'm more into hard and classic rock genres... I grew up on Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Ozzy, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Journey, REO Speedwagon.. all of which I still enjoy listening to. I never really got into the grunge/alternative stuff too much although I did like Alice in Chains and Soundgarden, but that's about it in that era. Out of today's music, I like Nickelback, Godsmack, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Deadman, Kid Rock, and I'm totally stoked to see Motley Crue back together!
Favorite Books All of the Hannibal series by Thomas Harris (Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Hannibal Rising), Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt, Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, October Sky by Homer Hickam, The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx, Empire Falls by Richard Russo. It's a scattered mix, but I absolutely loved reading all of these books.

Why does the color blue mean raspberry-flavored?

I honestly have no idea, and I've always wondered that, but you know, it just doesn't taste the same if it's not blue!
