Introduction This film will take place where you feel and hear the silence, awaking your senses and making you feel that there is no difference between the bluest sky and the salt your standing on. An experience that will change you view of the spiritual world. You can find yourself connected to the great spirit of the Pachamama (Gaia), and become one with the universe. The UNESCO supports this great project declaring that this film portraits the cultural life of Bolivians. For natives the PACHAMAMA is sacred, and so exploitation of the Salar (salt flat) contradicts all their ancient believes. The contradiction here is that they are standing on a lithium mine which now has more value than gold, so by preserving the salar they are missing the opportunity to come out of poverty. The importance of the salar of UYUNI being the largest Lithium reserve, representing about 80% of the lithium supply in the planet. Lithium is used in the production of batteries and most of the new technology. The Salt Flats represent the refuge for endanger fauna such as the andine flamingos, but must important of all, the salt reflects the sun UV rays that protects the planet from the climate change.
