| Introduction | I'm a communicator at heart - legend has it I was born talking. After arming myself with a media studies degree and public relations diploma, I started working in corporate communications and also launched a freelance business: Impression One (http://www.impression1.net). At age 26, I hit a quarter-life crisis and needed to live a serious adventure. My dream came true: January-May 2008 I took my skills to sea - editing the guest newsletter and menus on a cruise ship sailing around the world. I followed this with a month backpacking Europe to thoroughly satisfy my travel bug. Now having visited 36 countries and lived countless life lessons, I'm starting the next chapter of life with a renewed passion. For this chapter, I'm planting some real roots (bought a house in my hometown of London) and advancing my career (led external communications for United Way of London & Middlesex, and now work as Web Producer for St. Joseph’s Health Care, London). I’m settling down a bit, but the thirst for exploring life's adventures is only growing stronger - so I'm learning how to keep the passion for life alive while staying somewhat grounded. So far so good. |
