| Introduction | Hello. My name is Andy Wappler and I work for Puget Sound Energy. The world of energy is pretty exciting these days, and I hope this blog gives you a resource to learn more about what's happening here and around the world in terms of renewable energy and energy efficiency. At my house, we did some simple changes and cut our energy consumption by about 40 percent. As a meteorologist, I like knowing that my own energy habits can help be part of the solution to climate change. Today, energy conservation isn't about making a sacrifice, it's about seizing an opportunity to live better and smarter. When not working at PSE, I enjoy playing the guitar and currently suffer from "guitar acquisition syndrome," which makes me want to buy more guitars -- even though I'd be better off just learning to play the ones I have! Sometimes I save energy, and other people's eardrums, by playing acoustic. |
