Introduction By the time I was 4 years old, I knew I was going to be a quilter. That should have been no surprise to anyone since I came from a long line of quilters. My strongest inspiration came from my maternal grandmother, who frequently sent me remnants in the mail that she had purchased from her local five and dime. It was so fun to look at the tightly wrapped little bundles of sweet prints and wonder what they might become! Grandma was a traditional quilter and hand quilted all of her demure designs, which was typical of her day and age. I, on the other hand, am primarily a machine quilter and am in heaven creating my own innovative designs with bold, bright prints and vibrant batiks. I am not sure what Grandma would think of my quilts, but I am sure she would be happy that I followed in her footsteps and that I am a quilter. When I am not quilting, I am busy trying to manage my generous and bountiful garden. I also love pets, yoga, art, and all things spiritual.
Interests quilting, gardening, watercolor, pets, yoga, spirituality/philosophy
