| Introduction | "Living the American dream!" I'm a stay-at-home mom with two beautiful boys. Married for 10 years to a wonderful husband and father. It can't get any better than that! Oh! And I get to stay in my PJ's all afternoon if I wanted to and catch "Ellen" every weekday at 9AM. I'm discovering that my greatest challenge so far is becoming a mom. Before becoming a mom I owned and operated a mobile pet grooming service in the Big Easy, then despite how hard it would be for me, I took the husband's offer, sold my business, and moved away from the Big Easy to Cajun Country with our 3 dogs and a bird. We decided it would be wise to have a baby right away before we changed our minds. I adjusted pretty well living apart from my family until our first born came along. That's when I realized it wasn't going to be as easy as I thought it would be. Other than blogging, I find that this motivational thought helps me cope with it all; "Always be thankful at the end of a day. If you're having a bad day, think about other people who are less fortunate in the world and what kind of struggles they may be facing. Maybe then you will say to yourself, "Life is good!" ~pokerfacemom |
