About Me
As managing director of Finlays Skiing Ltd. I work in the UK office which is based in the attractive town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders. My brother Richard, is also a director of the ski holiday company and he manages the Finlays Skiing operation in France. Myself and my wife, Sarah, first set up the company in 1982. A love of skiing drew us in to this business and we spent 6 winter seasons living and working in Val d’Isere, a fantastic, world class ski resort in the French Alps. In 1988 Richard joined us in the business and we moved back to Scotland. Sarah and I still love skiing and ski whenever we can, normally enjoying a family ski holiday with our two teenage children in one of our resorts; Val d’Isere, Courchevel or La Plagne. We also try and have a long weekend skiing somewhere in the French or Swiss Alps. Over the years we have enjoyed our weekends so much we have added short & W/E ski breaks to Finlays ski holiday programme and now offer these in catered chalets as well as in hotels. At home in Scotland I play as much golf as I can and have grown to love the sport almost as much as skiing! I keep myself fit at a gym which is a short stroll from the Finlays office.
