About Me
An artist who spent nearly 30 years traipsing around the world with a career Naval officer dragging two kids, various animals and art supplies. Stationed in Japan, Hawaii, briefly in California, twice in the Pacific Northwest, twice in Virginia, Bahrian, D.C., London and Guam. Currently dividing my time between Washington, the state, and Tucson. I hold degrees in Art, Spanish and Education. Taught Spanish in Missouri, art in Denver, wrote two guidebooks for the Navy in Japan and in Bahrain, studied woodblock printing in Japan, weaving in London, batik in Guam, and ceramics in lots of places. Worked in a Top Secret analysts's job in London, headed a Navy Campus program in Guam and worked in two colleges in the Northwest before concentrating on clay. Established and chaired many scholarship programs. Been a self-employed antique dealer, graphic artist and exhibitor at a gazillion art shows. Electronic Geek. All I want a self-cleaning house, intravenious meals, to be able to roar around in Black Beauty, our BMW Z3 (how I love the growl of a good engine) and have someone to read to me when I'm not in the studio making stuff. Now is that too much to ask?
