About Me

I moved to the area 15 years ago, brought by the countryside, the creative energy and work. Then, I was managing services for people with learning disabilities, but a chronic illness meant I was myself disabled for a number of very difficult years. I am now well again and working with organisations that work with people who have mental health problems. My partner's granddaughter is at Randwick School and I have been active in many aspects of community life. I helped set up the Ruscombe Brook Action Group, pushed the calls for local 20 mph in residential zones, helped organise campaigns to save local Post Offices and supported the Village Shop to encourage more custom. Other interests include our beautiful countryside, a good film and cafes but my greatest passions are around social justice and how we care for our planet. This has led to involvement with many campaigns from renewable energy to affordable housing.
