| Introduction | A passionate reader, shopper and Christian, GWAS is often seen schlepping around a ton of glossy reading material in her satchel, which she then likes to write home about on this here blog. A former editor for Australian teen girls' magazine Girlfriend, GWAS is a graduate of Macquarie University, where she studied Media, has worked in advertising and PR, and has written for Total Girl, Cleo, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and The Walkley Magazine. The GWAS mission statement is 'finding the good in gloss'. She sees the glossies as "beautiful history books recording the who, what and wear of contemporary female life", though knows only too well their shortcomings (breeding grounds for discontent, they can be). Thus, as a service to prospective readers, she rates them according to their content value (see the GWAS rating scale). GWAS loves feedback and the opportunity for a bit of banter, so email or post a comment but do try to play nice...
