| Introduction | I graduated from the University of North Carolina with a BS in Biology and then went on to graduate from UNC Medical School; but before all that I had years of studying painting, drawing and graphics, as well as Buddhist art history. So, I came to this aesthetics business with an artist's eye. My residency was performed at the University of Kentucky in general and vascular surgery--that's what my initial board certification was in and that's the type of medicine I practiced for 16 years. I was always interested in cosmetic procedures, but once I entered my forties I got REALLY interested in them from a very personal prospective. I attended conferences and classes and completed preceptorships with well known experts—I have been doing this for over 15 years, including many years as a speaker and trainer for the most advanced cosmetic laser company in the U.S. Also I have come to realize that most disease is preventable and that physical health is intimately tied to mental and spiritual health. So, in brief, I am all about achieving the most optimal state of health and well-being possible with the healthy, glowing good looks to show it! |
