Introduction I am originally from MN, and my husband Jeromy is from WV, but we both moved to Southern Maryland for work. Jeromy and I technically met on Myspace (no joke) before we met in person! I was church hunting when I first arrived here in Sept. of 2005, and somehow I found Jeromy's page and asked him if he knew of any good churches in the area. The ironic part is, Jeromy had been driving right by my house every day on his way to work and we didn't even know it! Although neither one of us was in "dating mode" at that time, we suffered what we call a "collision". It's our way of saying we sensed between us an inevitable connection. Actually, it began as a string of enlightening discussions about Don Miller, John Piper, Calvinism, and Arminianism. I love it! So then we formally met a few weeks later at a local cafe and have been inseparable ever since! After getting married August 12, 2006 and living in Southern Maryland for another 2 1/2 years, we have picked up and moved to Harrison County, West Virginia, where we purchased our first house and continue to make it home!
Interests Jesus, writing, reading, spiritual discussions, with my husband (and in a group setting), handing out, Living Waters, tracts, teaching, children’s church, listening to, Christian music, and attending concerts, meeting new people, camping, hiking, traveling, driving, mountains, baking, Minnesota, Minneapolis, Caribou Coffee!
Favorite Movies Pride and Prejudice, (A & E version), The Land Before Time, (only the original!), Chronicles of Narnia, John Adams, The Ten Commandments, (2006 version), Amazing Grace, and DVDs by comedians, Mark Lowry, and, Daren Streblow, comedienne, Chonda Pierce, and anything, Gaither Homecoming, ! Jeromy got me to sit for all three Lord of the Rings, and, while I truly enjoyed them, I don’t really desire to do it again! Especially not the extended versions like he keeps talking about!
Favorite Music SCOTT KRIPPAYNE, SHANE AND SHANE, WATERMARK, SHAWN MCDONALD, BETHANY DILLON, BEBO NORMAN, CHRIS RICE, MARK SCHULTZ, MARTY GOETZ, FERNANDO ORTEGA, NICHOLE NORDEMAN, PHILLIPS CRAIG and DEAN, RIVER, SHANNON WEXELBERG, DAVID PHELPS, the, GAITHER VOCAL BAND, LORDSONG, THE MARTINS, JEFF AND SHERI EASTER, THE ISAACS, I know that with these artists I will always like the entire album! I am a sucker for spine-tingling harmony. And very often something fun and bluesy! Oh, and I can’t seem to get that tobyMac song, “Made to Love” out of my head! And I thought I didn’t like rap! :) And since I met Jeromy, he’s turned me into a, Derek Webb, Caedmons Call, Robbie Seay, and, Justin McRoberts, fan!, KTIS radio
Favorite Books The, Bible, also, Christy, and, Julie, both written by, Catherine Marshall, . Those two books greatly impacted me as a teen. I don't read many novels, although I recently finished, At Home in Mitford, by, Jan Karon, (and even got to visit, Blowing Rock, NC; the inspiration for the book!) Usually I like to have one “fun” and one “deep” book on hand at all times, to cater to whichever mood I’m in. I loved, Blue Like Jazz, by, Don Miller, . Ate that one up in just a few days. It seems like books on the, Christian, life tend to sway to one extreme or the other. Miller’s books focus purely on relationship; other authors focus on doing. (Do this and that and you will be set!) Not many Christian authors seem to find balance; either that or they are writing in response to one extreme or the other. So I try to keep both extremes in mind and read discerningly. That helps reduce any ignorant criticism on my part. Probably one of the few authors who has actually found a balance is, John Piper, . Ahhhh, Christian Hedonism. We DO because we ARE. Overflow. I’m also a fan of, John Eldredge, and, Stasi Eldredge, (I was reading, Captivating, when Jeromy and I met!), Mark Cahill, (evangelism books that will blow you out of the water!), Nancy Lee DeMoss, Beth Moore, James MacDonald, others.

What's the best time you've ever had licking stamps?
