Introduction When writing this profile I tried to find a way to describe who I am without first mentioning that I am a mother. I can't do it. The first thing I am, the most important thing, is a mother. My husband and I have five kids and I homeschool 2 of them. 2 have graduated from high school and 1 lives with her bio mom and attends public school. I have a BA in Creative Writing and a minor in Cultural Anthropology. I love people--watching them, contemplating how and why they do things, what they think. I am contemplating an advanced degree and was accepted to an MFA program as a poet when I decided that my pleasure in reading outweighed my desire to know any more about the mechanics of it. Still, I am a student of poetry, Italian, Spanish, horsemanship and life and have a great interest in organic gardening, aromatherapy and alternative medicine, green(er) living and bluegrass music. Yes, I'm a mom first but I am also a wife, a horsewoman, a poet and a Certified Equine Massage Therapist.
