Introduction | Hello, I am a World Language teacher (Spanish K-12) and have a Master's of Arts in Teaching (MAT). I am currently working on a second NJ teaching certification in ESL. I am passionate about teaching about the diversity that exists in the world and I find I can do it best through the lens of my own culture, my travel experiences and my acquired knowledge. With so much going on today in terms of political and religious climates I feel it's paramount we focus on what we have in common as a global community as opposed to what sets us apart. It is through our humanity that we can make a better world. Many of the assignment and projects I create for the students takes them outside of the familiar and comforts of their own community, so they can explore other cultures. With the diversity that exists in Hispanic America, I am never short of material. While I enjoy teaching about hispanicamerican diversity , culture and the Spanish language, I also feel a moral responsibility to try to contribute to world peace through education, one student at a time. |
