Introduction Kristin is originally from New Jersey and has already completed her associate’s degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. Currently, she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree as a student in the CIA’s first class of Culinary Science. Kristin also participates as a member of the Lady Steels Intercollegiate Volleyball Team, holds a seat on the Dean’s Council, and enjoys other school sponsored activities. Before attending the CIA, Kristin attended another college until deciding to follow her passions and study food. She was always fascinated by math and science but looked for ways to combine them with her love of art and food. It was not until TV shows such as “Good Eats” with Alton Brown that she discovered how scientific food actually was. As a part of the Culinary Science program, Kristin hopes to gain a large understanding of the molecular structures of food in order to go forth into the industry to spread greater understanding.
