| Introduction | Born August 1, 1950 in Bossier City, LA. Baby Boomer & Air Force Brat. My Father made The Great Santini look like Mr. Rogers. I will always be a Prisoner of War. Fairbanks, Alaska: saw the Sputnik in 1957. England & Germany: lived there when Rock & Roll exploded. London, 1965: saw Bob Dylan in our hotel lobby. The whole room was filled with immobile military men & their wives and children, hypnotized by a little B&W TV: a guy in a black leather jacket & guitar, harp strapped around his neck singing, “It’s All Right Ma, I’m Only Bleeding!” Puberty & Hippies hit in Abilene, Texas. Graduated from H.S. in 1968. Honor Roll to “don’t ever set foot on this campus again.” Majored in drugs & I can’t remember what else in college. Went to Goddard in Vermont briefly. 1976, Berkeley. Lived in a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery (Odiyan) on the Sonoma Coast. Close Encounters with UFOs and California Girls. Met a lot of strange people, had a lot of strange experiences. Probably because I’m one strange experience! Washington is home since 1978. Drugs & Depression jettisoned in 1997. Married with five cats. Became a Christian in 2003. Singing & Writing is therapy. |
