Interests From circa 2010 – a snapshot of the last decade, really. Light, clouds and the changing sky, gold and silversmithing, jewellery, graphic design, illustrated books, New Inventors & Grand Designs, typography, drawing, sculpture, textiles, painting, found objects / creative use of recycled materials, collars and neck pieces, creating something especially for someone, oceans and waterways, spontaneous comments to strangers, Melbourne trams, observing and contemplating the seasons and their change, photography, people, hands and faces, parrots and all things avian, flamenco, travel, playing and listening to music, reading, cooking without recipes, comedy, writing.

Favorite Books The first and only book I've stolen from a public library (I was 13 years old): Gabriel Garcia Marquez: One hundred years of solitude (1967), Kingsolver: Poisonwood Bible, Mistry: A fine balance, Bryson: The short history of almost everything, Diamond: Guns germs and steel, Everything by Shaun Tan, McCarthy: The Road, David Sedaris: When you're engulfed in flames & Dress your family in corduroy and denim, Mika Waltari: Sinuhe Egyptiläinen, Kalevala (the year 2000 edition illustrated by Hannu Väisänen), Julia Cameron: The Artist's Way, Self help? Pass it over. Over here that is! I used to regularly set dates with my best friend under this section in our local bookshop.
