| Introduction | Grew up in the Northern suburbs where Rugby and pushing weights was the order of the day. Moved to Southern Suburbs for studies in 2004 where I played for False Bay rugby club. In the off season I used to do some road running with VOB running club which shares the clubhouse with False Bay. This was a great way to stay fit and meet like minded people in a neighbourhood which was very new to me. While studying I used to work part time on the weekends at Cape Storm retail outlet in Canal Walk, this is where I met Steven Hector and Leo Rust who were very influential in developing my interest and passion for Trail Running. Soon after I started running with CRAG on a Wednesday night and that is where the "bug bit me". The rest is a 3 year addiction which has taken me on extreme highs and painful lows. |
