Introduction Thank you for taking an interest in yours truly. I started this blog to promote the craft of studio photography and as a place to capture my lighting experiments. It also serves as an educational resource for the photographic community. I participate on Internet photography forums and have often seen the same questions come up again and again. This blog is a place where some of these questions can be answered. Knowing the underlying principles of lighting is essential to mastering lighting, so by recording these principles here, I reinforce my own learning and leave a trail for others to follow. I love photographing just about anyone or anything, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be children and weddings (oops, that's two). Children are so fun because you get to play along with them. After gaining their trust, photographing becomes just another game. It is all so natural that the results are the real deal. Weddings are similar, capturing a couple during the happiest of times in their life together. Emotions are on overdrive and everyone is happy. Life has many moments... capturing these highlights in people's lives is my purpose and my legacy.
