Introduction I currently teach Pre-AP English, single gender Sophomore English, traditional Sophomore English, and First Year Drama at Camas High School. My roots go deep in Camas: my great-grandfather used to own much of the land atop Prune Hill. He worked in the mill and raised my grandmother in a house that they had to relocate during the construction of Highway 14. Both my grandparents graduated from Camas High School and my mother has taught here for over 30 years. I enjoy being back in Camas and a part of its growing and changing community.

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

I'm a little afraid of being in any body of water where I can't see the bottom. So I usually have to open my eyes so I don't panic and drown.
