| Introduction | Muddy Rose Pottery provides the means for independent, creative growth in a relaxed atmosphere that encourages a positive outcome. We offer typical and special needs pottery classes for children /adults and invite groups and organizations to visit for pottery wheel demonstrations and creating special projects. The therapeutic clay building process stimulates the creative inner voice in children who have developmental disabilities, such as autism. Creating on the pottery wheel promotes hand/eye coordination, develops fine motor skills, and encourages communication and socialization. It is a calm and soothing approach in providing needed sensory stimulation. We prove that "mud is not just for making beautiful pottery." |
