Introduction	I have always had a love affair...with the ocean. My childhood was living opposite the Indian Ocean at the coastal town of Kwinana..so the ocean became my huge aquatic playground. Age 8yrs became a member of Rockingham ASC and after moving to Perth, 13yrs..enrolled with the City of Perth ASC. I have a very supportive husband Max & 3 children - Karen, Lorelle & Wayne. After 25yrs of no swimming I joined AUSSI Masters WA & soon recording State and National age group records. Competed in three World Masters Swim Champs. gaining Gold, Silver and Bronze med. My true passion is open water swimming...and over the past 25 years have competed in numerous open water events from 1.6k to 20k. Completing 8 solos, teams & duos in the Cottesloe to Rottnest (20k)Perth,I am training harder and smarter to challenge myself to swim longer distances. I have previously attempted two English Channel solo swims 2008/9. Disappointed, the attempts were not to be. I believe that if you are given a dream, you are given the ability to fulfil that dream...so...August 2011, here we come !!
