| Introduction | I began my athletics career at the age of 9 as a gymnast. I competed in the sport at an elite level for 13 years, having the opportunity to represent my country at two world championships, commonwealth games, pan-american games and several other prestigous international events. I recevied a gymnastics scholarship to West Virginia Universtiy and after receiving my BA International Business I moved back to Canada. Upon moving to Whistler, BC I took to snowboarding and shortly after fell in love with the sport of mountain biking. After just two short years on the bike I began racing. My first year racing was very successfull and I moved up to the pro/elite Women's category after only 1 year on the BC Cup circuit. Over the past three years I've had the chance to race against the world's top female riders at World Cup events, and other prestigous races throughout North America. This, in addition to having such an amazing "backyard" to play and train in, have been key factors in my success over the years. Living in the Sea to Sky Corridor riding is our lives, and I look forward to many more years of riding, racing and coaching! |
