About Me

I was born in England and educated there, as well as in Barbados, Honduras, and the United States. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications in 1981. I am the co-author, with Linda Lindroth, of the book Virtual Vintage: The Insider's Guide to Buying and Selling Fashion Online, Random House, 2002. I live in Florida with my family as well as several cats, Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherd-mixes, squirrels, alligators, osprey, cranes, eagles, turtles, lizards, and a spotted white Pit Bull terrier named Winston.
