My Darling Auntie, I must thank you from the bottom of my heart for the gift you kindly bestowed on me. It shall remind me, as I pour syrup onto pancakes that I must rise earlier each morning, a rooster is most symbolic in that respect. However, unlike a real rooster, this rooster will never create a mess or be killed by a dog. Instead he will tend to my pancakes. All my love, your niece.
