Introduction I recently retired as the Senior Minister of a significant Baptist Church in London, having Pastored several churches since my Ordination in 1969. I am married (my wife is also an ordained Baptist Minister) and have two grown up children and four grandchildren. Now living in rural Dorset I hope to devote the rest of my life to writing and research as well as working in a voluntary capacity in the local church - with some further study and travel thrown in for good measure. I have continued to study theology during most of my adult life - having wasted too much of my time at school when I was younger - and as a result have a BA in Theology, an MTh in Applied Theology, and an MPhil in Divinity. I am seriously thinking of having a crack at a doctorate in the near future. I am passionately interested in good preaching, and particularly the need for prophetic preaching today. There are a number of capable preachers around today but few who seem able to bring God's 'now word' both to the church and to the world.
