About Me

I retired from the USAF in 1983 after serving over 22 years. In 1989, I decided that I was never going to put a dent in the worlds booze supply so I just quit trying. Needing something else to do besides sipping Jac Daniels and ogling bar maids to keep busy I decided to go into business for myself. A hobby of fishing and maintaining and repairing my own equipment led to a fishing tackle business that soon grew into a small corporation. I have always figured work was a four letter word and sure enough I found that it is. I sold my business in 2005 and retired again. This blog is something else to keep my idle hands and deranged mind busy. So read at your own risk.

Favorite Movies

• I had actually rather read a good book or snuggle with sweet thing than watch any movie ever made. The last flick I saw that was worth a damn was "Second Hand Lion" I also enjoyed "Free Range" that I saw about the same time. "Lonesome Dove" was the best western ever made.

Favorite Music

• Damn near anything is better than rap-if that crap can even be considered music. Mostly I enjoy the oldies from the fifties andd sixties
• especially CCR.

Favorite Books

• Just about ever thing that Michener ever wrote. Reading Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" made me think about my political and moral philsophy and no doubt made me the cynical commenter I am today.
